Activities: This folder contains flyers of local activity options including the Qantas Founders Outback Museum, Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame and the fabulous cruising options on the Thomson River. Please see ScrappyTech Staff if you require further information.
Air-conditioners: An evaporative air conditioner services the whole building. The controls are located in the hallway. Please follow the instructions displayed. Opening windows slightly in the rooms requiring cooling will help with air flow.
Note: On very humid, outback days the air conditioner will struggle to keep the premises cool.
A pedestal fan has been supplied in every room for your convenience.

Additional Cleaning: Whilst staying at Longreach Lodge it is an expectation that good cleanliness standards are adhered to by our guests. Where rooms are considered less than acceptable upon departure, management, at its absolute discretion, reserves the right to charge an additional cleaning fee.

BBQ Facilities: Public BBQ facilities are located at Edkins Park. Lioness Park is a fully fenced playground located on the south side of Longreach which also has BBQ facilities (turn on at power box on side of playgroup shed).
Car Wash: If you need to wash your car please do so on the lawn strip in front of the Lodge.
Check-Out Time: Check out time is 10.00am. All accounts need to be settled prior to 10.00am. Please lock the external door when leaving. Keys can be handed in to ScrappyTech or left in the power box in the carport. Please be considerate of new arrivals by adhering to the check out time. If you wish to extend your stay, please notify management as soon as possible. Late checkout arrangements can be made subject to availability. Extra charges may apply.
Car Parking: Two undercover parking spaces, beside the external stairs are available to Lodge guests. There are also 3 undercover spaces available on the Eastern side of the complex.

Cooking Facilities: Limited cooking facilities have been supplied including microwave, toaster and a kettle. A large slow cooker and an Electric Banquet frypan are also available on request. Washing up can be done in the laundry. Please leave cooking utensils/facilities clean when vacating.
Church Services: Church Services are published every Friday in the “Longreach Leader”. Please ask at ScrappyTech, we may have a local paper for reference.
Drinking Water: Although we have two rainwater tanks we can not guarantee the quality of the water so advise not drinking from them. Longreach town water goes though a very thorough filtration process and is fit for drinking.
DVD: A DVD player is integrated in the wall mounted LCD.
A small selection of DVD’s are available from ScrappyTech at no extra charge. Video 2000 is located in Eagle Street if you wish to hire movies.
To watch a DVD push the TV/AV button on the remote control till DVD is selected. To go back to watching the TV press the TV/AV button again till ATV is selected.

Games & Puzzles: We have a selection of board games and jigsaw puzzles that you can use, free of charge, during your stay at Longreach Lodge. Please ask at ScrappyTech.
Guest Laundry: Longreach Lodge has a guest laundry for your use. A washing machine and a dryer are provided free of charge. Washing powder is available at ScrappyTech
Note: Laundry facilities are not available whilst Lodge laundering is being done.

Hair Dryers: A hair dryer is wall mounted in the bathroom for your convenience. (King Suite only)
Mail: If you have mail that needs to be posted please leave it at ScrappyTech. Stamps are also available.
Maintenance: At Longreach Lodge we aim to provide you with all services in good working order. Please report any problems to ScrappyTech or notify management.
Pets: Animals are not permitted in the Lodge due to Health Regulations. Only assistance dogs may be brought into the premises. If you are travelling with your pet they may be kept, restrained, in the yard.
PlayStations: A PS One, a PS2 and a selection of games are available from ScrappyTech free of charge. A small security deposit is required.

Reading Materials: Longreach’s local paper “The Longreach Leader” is available every Friday morning. A guest library has been provided in the bookshelf beside the internal staircase. Books are there to be read during your stay. If you wish to exchange a book please record on the book list and leave another book in its place.
Room Servicing: Rooms at Longreach Lodge are unserviced. If you require your room to be serviced please notify management. If you require fresh towels ask at ScrappyTech.
Smoke Alarms: At Longreach Lodge smoke detectors have been installed in every bedroom and common area, excluding bathrooms. All common area alarms are interconnected, including one in the lower stairwell and one in the shop. Please help minimise the occurrence of false alarms by keeping a close eye on cooking food, especially toast. Steam may also set off the alarms so it is advisable to keep bathroom doors closed whilst showering.
Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms. A $150.00 cleaning fee will be charged if you smoke in any room. A DOSA has been provided. Please dispose of your butts thoughtfully by placing in the ashtrays provided.
Swimming Pool: Longreach Memorial Pool is open seven days a week, all year round, providing an outdoor 50m pool and a heated indoor 25m pool. There is also a child friendly wading pool and play equipment.

Tea/Coffee Making Facilities: Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are available in every room. Tea, coffee and sugar are located in your fridge and milk is available from Reception.
Television: Local stations are Imparja, Seven Central, ABC & SBS.
If the TV comes up with a blank screen the previous guests may have been watching a DVD. To watch the TV push the TV/AV button on the remote control till ATV is selected. To go back and watch a DVD press the TV/AV button again till DVD is selected.
Tourist Information: Several brochures are kept in this folder. The Tourist Information Centre is located on Eagle Street - 4658 4150
Video Player: A video player and a selection of videos are available from ScrappyTech free of charge. A small security deposit is required.
Wildlife: Geckos and frogs are just some of the locals you will encounter whilst staying at the Lodge. Although they can be a wee bit messy we welcome these little visitors as they help to keep other unwanted insects at bay. Whilst in the outback you may also come across ibis’, brolgas, kangaroos, goannas, birds etc. They are a very important part of our environment so please take care when approaching them. At certain times of the year ants can be unavoidable. Please keep and foodstuffs in sealed containers or in the refrigerator.
